Athletics Officials in Cornwall

Specialist athletics officials are essential for the smooth running and safe competitive environment at athletic meetings. Although some athletic meetings - especially school based ones - are often officiated by untrained volunteers, they are not covered by UK insurance and performances cannot be used for ranking lists or qualification for championship meetings; also long throws should have at least a level 3 judge in control as the bare minimum.
The current levels range from 1 to 5 and those currently officiating from/ for Cornwall can be seen here with their main discipline listed, although several are qualified in more than one.
There is also a new Pathway of qualifications for Officials: please refer to the British Athletics website that will explain this and also on the England Athletics website.
Ben Penberthy, the County Officials Officer, can be contacted here.
