Coaching at County level in Cornwall

Every club in the county has specialized coaches, with the majority of clubs centring their expertise on road running, but the two track and field clubs of Newquay and Par who are based at Par, and Cornwall Athletics Club, based at the Carn Brea Leisure Centre, Pool near Redruth, have an excellent choice of specialist event coaches. It is due to these coaches that the county enjoys success at national and international level in addition to catering for the social athletes.
The county currently has five Level 4 coaches, which is the highest standard attainable, and many level 3's and 2's, all of them having the opportunity to keep up-to-date with current thinking through attending courses, workshops and the internet.
It is with great sadness that the Committee announces the death of Tony Lett on 9th November 2016. Tony was the county head coach for many years, producing a monthly coaching newsletter.
