The amalgamation of the Cornwall County Cross Country Championships with the Frank Elford Westward Winter League has now become an annual feature on the winter calendar, providing Cornish athletes with an enhanced level of competition against Devon clubs in the League. This joint meeting was held at the Newquay Sports Centre on Sunday in glorious weather, perfect for the series of races from under 11’s to Seniors.

Competing against the cream of 42 English and Welsh Counties and over 300 finishers in each race, three Cornish athletes finished in the top ten and two just outside.
